This department offers a two-year Post Graduate Degree programme in Business Administration (MBA) of the Anna University. The programme is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The programme has been accredited with “B’’ grade by the National Board for Accreditation (a wing of AICTE).

The academic qualification for the applicants to the programme is a Bachelor degree in any area with a minimum of 50% marks. The students are selected for admission based either on MAT scores or on an entrance test, followed by group discussion and personal interview conducted by the college.

A team of well-qualified members of the faculty with industrial and academic experience, contributes to the strength of the department.

Periodic industrial visits and guest lectures delivered by prominent experts from the industry enable the students to keep abreast of the latest developments. Apart from routine classroom sessions, the pedagogy of teaching lays stress on management orientation and personality development through case studies, group discussions, role plays and seminars. In addition, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities organised by professional societies motivate student enthusiasm in studies.

Value-added courses are offered in the field of Computer Application in Business and Business Communication for the benefit of students.

The faculty members have published technical papers in leading national journals. They are encouraged to attend, participate and present papers in national seminars, workshops and conferences sponsored by AICTE, AIMS,UGC and other institutions. They are also encouraged to pursue research. Most of the members of the faculty are pursuing research in related fields for doctoral degrees.
